8 Weirdest Movie Trends Of 2015

1. Nostalgic Reboots/Sequels

The Movies: Jurassic World, Mad Max: Fury Road, Terminator: Genisys, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Furious 7, Spectre Reboots are constantly emerging in Hollywood these days, but has there ever been a year quite like this one? That's to say, 2015 has already played host to reboots of some of the most beloved movie franchises of all-time, namely in Jurassic World and the upcoming Terminator: Genisys (which is a sort of a half reboot, half sequel film - whatever that is). The public's appetite for nostalgia is at an all-time high, apparently, a point proven by the recent success of Jurassic World, which could very well end up as the highest-grossing movie of all-time if the rumours are anything to go by (and until Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrives at the end of the year and blows all box office records out of the water). Not to forget, the part nostalgia also played with the recent Furious 7 on account of Paul Walker's untimely death, whilst Spectre - the next Bond flick - intends to insight feelings of nostalgia whilst evolving the franchise for a contemporary audience. If there's anything that audiences can take from 2015, it's that nostalgia is a weirdly powerful force. What other strange trends have you spotted this year? Share any more down in the comments.
