9 Action Movie Costumes That Make No Sense

2. Milla Jovovich in The Fifth Element

The Fifth Element is a typical 90's action sci-fi, full of extreme fighting, outlandish dystopian worlds and impactful characters. It became a cult classic for pop culture fans but one of its more memorable aspects was the costume design, predominantly Milla Jovovich's Leeloo in her thermal bandages.

The outift was supposed to be Leeloo wrapped in bandages but why do the bandages happen to resemble a lingerie set? They are strategically wrapped around to highlight her thin frame and chest. It makes no sense how they were positioned because why would they be an perfect fit to sexualize the young Milla Jovovich in her first big role?

The costume made a massive impact on cosplayers and fans for years to come. However that does not take away the fact that, when on the run, a person would choose a revealing lingerie set over something a bit more comfortable and less revealing.

If you have clicked on here, get ready to be bored. I'm just a 20 year old white male who has a (probably) unhealthy obsession with pop culture Film and TV. Handy in a trivia game but not much else. My parents were never murdered, I'm not avenging my dead wife. Just plain, old sat at a computer with a head full of knowledge I mostly don't use I was born and raised in the Black Country near Birmingham, England however am now living in Manchester, England after I moved here two years ago. I currently attend the University of Salford, studying Broadcast Journalism. That's it really. Told you there was nothing special. If you're really that desperate for something to do, follow me on socials. Yes, I do like that ego boost.
