9 Amazing Movie Extras Who Should Have Become Real Actors

6. Joon Kim - Raymond K. Hessel In Fight Club

The Role: Kim plays Raymond K. Hessel, the young Asian student who Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt) accosts, threatening him at gunpoint before instructing him to get on with his life and train to become a veterinarian. Why It's Amazing: Though the scene might only scarcely qualify Kim as an "extra" given that it lasts several minutes, Kim barely gets more than a few lines out, yet gives a highly effective, sobbing performance that makes you feel for the guy, accentuating the danger of Pitt's character. What Happened?: In 2002, he played "Henchman #2" in Kung Pow: Enter the Fist, yet despite this strong dramatic showing, did not pick up any other Hollywood work.
