9 Awesome Trilogies Made From Completely Unrelated Films

2. The Dollars Trilogy

Dollars

The Films: A Fistful of Dollars (1964), For A Few Dollars More (1965) and The Good, The Bad And The Ugly (1966). Why So Awesome:I've already covered before that many people believe these movies were intended to be connected, with the movies detailing the ongoing exploits of Clint Eastwood€™s The Man With No Name. A trilogy of unconventional order, The Good, The Bad And The Ugly acts as a prequel to the previous adventures, showing Eastwood gather together his iconic costume. And the fact that so many people think they are connected is why they are so awesome. The films, particularly the third, are all brilliant, being the essential spaghetti westerns. You can treat Eastwood as the same character throughout, but that (or any other links) weren't intended by him or director Sergio Leone. What I find particularly humorous about this trilogy is that The Man actually gets a different nickname assigned to him in each film, which only adds to the mystique and linkage between the movies.
