8. Manhunters
DC ComicsThe Manhunters are a race of androids who were created by the Guardians of the Universe - the immortal founders and leaders of the Green Lantern Corps - as a forerunner to the Green Lanterns themselves. They were created as intergalactic guardians - just like the Green Lantern Corps - and for many millennia they served the Guardians well. However, the Manhunters lost their purpose and became more obsessed with the act of "hunting" criminals. Their code became corrupted and changed to "No man escapes the Manhunters" and dishing out punishment became more important to them than seeing justice done. They would serve as a Chitauri-esq large scale threat to the Green Lantern Corps - if indeed DC and Warner Brothers wanted to go down that route - as opposed to providing a single named villain to be the movie's focus and they could be made to look pretty damn awesome in live action. They were actually the antagonists in the video game "sequel" to the first Green Lantern movie, so it seems that DC certainly have them in mind for potential use on the big screen. We wouldn't mind that one bit.
