9 Famous Movie Moments Unbelievably Nailed On The First Take

8. Angela Lansbury Sings The Title Song Perfectly On The First Take - Beauty And The Beast

Think back to the wonderfully memorable song "Beauty and the Beast" as sung by actress Angela Lansbury for the Disney movie of the same name. Composed by the insanely talented Alan Menken, with lyrics by Howard Ashman, the song plays over what is arguably the most heartfelt scene in the film. Belle comes down the staircase wearing that yellow dress, of course, as the Beast - dressed up to the nines - meets her to dance.

It wouldn't have been right for anybody other than Angela Lansbury to have sung this song; her dulcet tones proved to be perfection. And yet the actress originally thought her voice to be wrong for the track and didn't want to record it. Thankfully, she agreed and - proving herself wrong - she nailed the track in a single take (which is the one used in the film). Her performance of the song was so good, even, that it moved the entire studio to tears.

Going from "anxious to record the song" to "perfection in a single take" - only Angela Lansbury could have pulled off such a feat, we're sure.
