The first trailer for Zack Snyder's impending four-hour Justice League retooling featured a ton of footage cleaved away from Joss Whedon's own studio-mandated version, but one of its most seemingly banal images actually hints at one of the film's most exciting new additions.

At the 1:04 mark, we can see Lois (Amy Adams) answer the door to Martha Kent (Diane Lane) before the two embrace.

This is Snyder's original filmed version of a scene that was re-shot by Whedon, who added the infamous gag where Martha refers to Lois as "the thirstiest woman" Clark has ever met.

What's interesting about restoring Snyder's version is that, back in 2019, Snyder posted storyboards from the scene to social media, confirming it was going to reveal that Martha was actually being impersonated by fan favourite superhero Martian Manhunter at this moment.

Better still, Martian Manhunter would be revealed to have been General Swanwick (Harry Lennix) all along.

Between this and the fact that Snyder recently tweeted a quote from Martian Manhunter alongside a picture of Cyborg (Ray Fisher), it seems like fans will finally get to see this cameo once and for all.
