9 Major Actors Who Just Made 5 Bad Films In A Row

1. James Woods

Running With The Devil Nicolas Cage
Columbia Pictures

The dry spell: Bling, Jamesy Boy, White House Down, Jobs, Officer Down

It can't be easy to be James Woods, to be the only truthteller in a town full of liberal elites and leftist media trying to smear him all the time. It must be difficult even getting cast. It can't possibly be the fact that he's notoriously hard to work with and has been at the centre of more than one scandal.

Nevertheless, his work has certainly slowed down in recent years, with the actor barely committed to anything serious. For someone who once took pride in improvisation and spontinaety, Woods is phoning it in. His work as the villain in White House Down is nondescript - his casting wasn't publicized in promotional material - and his other recent roles have been minor indies that didn't leave much of an impression. The last role he seemed to have any stake in? A disastrous attempt at a southern accent in the neutered remake of Straw Dogs.

Outside of some video game voice-work hardcore fans of the medium may appreciate, are embarrassments to an actor whose resume once sang with great character parts and an Oscar nomination.
