9 MCU Characters Most Unlike The Comics

2. Yondu

In the Guardians Of The Galaxy movie, Yondu plays a key role as the man who kidnapped and raised Star-Lord, training him to become an adventuer. He leads a group of space pirates called the Ravagers and wields a unique arrow-like weapon that he controls by whistling. Though Yondu is a tough leader, he has a soft spot for the affable Peter Quill and aids his teammates in their battle against Ronan the Accuser. Aside from the blue skin and the Mohawk, the movie version of Yondu is essentially a new character. In the comics he has no particular connection to Peter Quill and is instead a 29th century bow hunter who formed the original Guardians Of The Galaxy team, which is mostly unconnected to the more familiar modern team. He didn€™t lead the Ravagers and he didn€™t have a cool whistle-controlled arrow weapon. Compared to the MCU Yondu, the comics version was a relatively minor character up until his introduction to bigger audiences with the Guardians Of The Galaxy movie.
