If you've ever heard a Jason Derulo song or seen one of his music videos, you will absolutely know who he is. This is mostly because he handily sings his own name repeatedly during his songs, in order to remind you of his brand. It's clever marketing, really.

What you might not know is that he's also apparently an actor, which will come as a surprise to anyone who's seen his IMDB page, because it doesn't feature any acting besides his music videos. Nonetheless, he's just been cast as Rum Tum Tugger, the rudest-sounding of all the cats in Cats, which also has Taylor Swift and Sir Ian McKellen and Judy Dench in. Which is not a sentence anyone has ever considered writing up to this exact moment in time.
