8. Bubbles: The Movie

Hot on the trail of news that Wyclef Jean's getting an animated musical of his early life, another musical icon is getting an animated Netflix film.

Michael Jackson's life definitely deserves the film treatment (though it's unlikely we'd get to see EVERYTHING) and Netflix are the ones to get there first, thanks to Taika Waititi and Mark Gustafson's team-up on a new stop motion film. The medium is already a little odd, but what makes it even stranger is that it's called Bubbles and will chart Jackson's life and career from the perspective of his beloved pet chimp.

Waititi is a huge Jackson fan and wants to make it respectful, but it's bound to have some of his offbeat comedy in the blend of fantasy and fiction he's creating. And remember, the important thing here is that it's literally from a monkey's perspective.
