7. Rick Grimes Heads To The Movies

Despite us all being led to believe that Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes was set to be the biggest EVER casualty on The Walking Dead after the actor decided to hang up his hat and colourful accent, that's not what's just happened at all.

It was widely assumed that Lincoln wants to get back into film-making, but nobody could possibly have foreseen the swerve that AMC are actually making three Walking Dead movies for TV starring him and telling an "original Rick Grimes story."

Just as it looked like he was about to bite the big one, a helicopter swooped down and rescued him from certain death, whisking him off to parts unknown to continue his story. Which definitely feels like a massive stunt, but fair play to them, because it worked whip up higher viewing figures and more interest in the show than there has been for years.
