7. Terminator Salvation (2009)
Look, I'm sure that there was a way to make
Terminator Salvation work without Arnold Schwarzenegger involved, but - let's face it - the only reason anybody ever went to see a
Terminator movie in the first place was because he was in them. So here lies the perfect example of a movie franchise that tried to awkwardly carry on without the single most important ingredient - it's like going to a Beatles concert, but Paul or John aren't there. Arnie stuck around for three movies in the series, of course, and bailed on this fourth entry. And although
Terminator Salvation isn't exactly the worst movie in the world, it isn't a very good one either. There are a few interesting moments, but mostly it suffers from robotic and clinical storytelling (oh, the irony). The worst decision that director McG made, though, was to include a CGI Schwarzenegger - way to remind us that he wasn't in it!
