9 Movie Monsters That Would Be Unstoppable in Reality

1. Xenomorphs €“ Alien Series

What Their Deal Is: The Xenomorph€™s are the apex predator of the Universe, or at least they€™re posed that way in the Alien franchise. They€™re not so much a monster as they are an unrelenting force of death and destruction; an army of assailants whose only bred purpose is to kill that which may pose a threat to the queen. Unlike most sci-fi aliens, the Xenomorphs bend to no higher reasoning than instinct; they€™re bred and function only to kill and propagate their own species, which unfortunately requires the life of a host. Meaning that each one of us that falls victim is another number for the enemy ranks. Why They€™d Be Unstoppable: Aliens allowed you to witness what just a small group of Xenomorphs can do to an entire, heavily populated colony, and a unit of highly trained Colonial Marines to boot. If Xenomorphs did exist, and they ever shared a planet with homo-sapiens, I can€™t imagine we€™d be as comfortable as we currently are at the top of the food chain. A single alien could lay waste to an entire village in about an hour; two or three could cause untold trouble in a city, and a small group, left unchecked on Earth, could easily consume our planet within a year or two. Forget a military strike, the Xenomorphs are too unpredicatable €“ our Armed Forces wouldn€™t even know where to begin. This is a running theme throughout the Alien series; that if the Xenomorphs were ever to hit Earth, we€™d struggle to survive the impact. When will the Weyland-Yutani Corporation ever learn?! God damn it, Paul Reiser€ So there€™s our list! Thankfully, imagination and reality are firmly separate. If they weren€™t we€™d definitely all be dead; if not from a Gremlin insurgence, then from a Xenomorph invasion. I€™m sure I missed some. Any favourites not on the list? Do let us know.
