9 Movies With Surprisingly Low Body Counts
1. Poltergeist (No Deaths)
A horrific classic responsible for many people in the 1980s being too fearful to watch TV or purchase a house built over an Indian burial ground.
The film revolves around the all-American Freeling family who are terrorised by their haunted home and do whatever they can to survive it. There’s not much plot, just a series of jump scares and creepy special effect shots but thanks to the magical touch of writer/producer Steven Spielberg, you can’t bemoan the lack of substance. Its an imaginative and enjoyable ride and it's impossible not to root for the Freelings in their struggle against the supernatural forces.
Despite the house’s best efforts, every single character in the film manages to avoid the Reaper. "They're still here!"
