9 Movies You Didn't Realise Stole Their Endings

And they thought nobody would notice.

We've all been in that situation. You're watching a movie, going along with whatever ridiculous stuff is unfolding on screen, then it ends and... wait, haven't you seen that same thing happen before?

When making a movie it's fine to take some inspiration, but today we're going a step further and looking at films with damn near identical endings to (usually) better movies. Originality in movies is a strange concept. Quentin Tarantino has built a career around homaging his favourite movies, while George Lucas is all about capturing old emotions; Star Wars was a mix of Flash Gordon and The Hidden Fortress, while Indiana Jones is a port of adventure serials. But none of those films ever get accused of being uncreative.

That's because they brought something else to the table, working on their own. You may be able to pinpoint where they came from, but that doesn't rob from the experience. The same can be true here - although plenty don't, there's some films that, despite having an ending ripped from another work, still have a totally satisfying finale. Without further adieu, here are nine of those movies.

As we're dealing with endings, an obligatory spoiler warning is in effect.
