9 Oddly Specific Things Zack Snyder Stole From The Original Superman Movies

6. Lois Lane Never Gets Cold

For all its attempts at being Nolan-level grounded, Man Of Steel had some moments of pure, comic book-level ridiculousness. Take how Lois Lane manages to survive being passed out on a slab of ice in the middle of the Arctic wearing nothing but a duffel coat. It's not quite Superman's bullet-proof skin, but that's still a real superpower. However, at least based on the movies, this is just another of Lois Lane's recurrent character traits; on top of being a feisty, self-confident female character who still always manages to find herself shrieking in danger, she's repeatedly proves herself impervious to cold. In Superman: The Movie she takes flight with Supes in nothing but a dress (it's implied that his flying protects any passengers from wind chill, but come on), then in Superman II remarks in the Fortress Of Solitude that she should feel cold, but doesn't. That's some lazy, on-set writing right there. In fact, the only time Lois gets even a bit chilly is when, in Superman IV: The Quest For Peace, Clark takes her on an impromptu flying trip, and even then that's only because she was left on the balcony (fun fact: normal writers can't afford Manhattan penthouse apartments), rather than having just flown at supersonic speeds.
