4. They're Insulting To Both Genders

True love has the ability to make a fool out of everyone, even the most rational of minds. When you're in love, you become this lesser version of yourself where you are more needy, foolhardy and you turn into a doormat. In Rom Coms, the protagonists forgive each other for things that you wouldn't dare let slide in any real life situation. Someone cheats on the other with their mother and sister, but because they're in love and can't live their life without them, they decide to get married. They've known each other for two weeks. Okay, so maybe this is a bit of an exaggeration but imagine having your parents pay a woman to act like she's in love with you in order to get you to move out of your parent's house? Yes, we're all looking at you Failure To Launch. And can you really forgive Big for leaving Carrie at the alter?
