9 Sci-Fi Horror Movies That Went Too Far

6. Snowpiercer

To label Bong Joon-ho's Snowpiercer as an outright horror picture may be stretching things just a tad, yet the film was nominated for Best Sci-Fi/Horror Movie at the 2015 Critics' Choice Movie Awards. As such, that technically makes it fair game to be included here.

The reason for Snowpiercer being worthy of a mention in this 'too far' list, comes solely down to a truly depressing line of dialogue from Chris Evans' Curtis Everett. Best known for his time as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Evans delivers a line that would turn Steve Rogers' stomach.

"You know what I hate about myself? I know what people taste like. I know babies taste best."

Given the apocalyptic setting of the movie, some of the lower-class characters of Snowpiercer have clearly had to partake in some horrendous acts solely to survive. But serving up a slice of dialogue about eating babies? That's a line that went too far for some.

Still, there's no doubting that this dialogue is effective in hammering home the reality of Snowpiercer's landscape - made even more impactful by the performance and delivery of a Chris Evans who is on career best form here.
