The title of They Saved Hitler's Brain gives you one major indicator of why the 1968 picture is included on this list of films that went too far.

Given the atrocities carried out by the very real Adolf Hitler, any movie looking to bring this tyrant back to life is one that has to be questioned; particularly when done in a serious way where Adolf is looking to carry out heinous crimes against humanity.

While the overall concept of They Saved Hitler's Brain earns it a spot here, that's only added to further by the fact that Hitler is a decapitated head in a bulletproof jar. Think of something from Futurama, but played seriously.

Of course, They Saved Hitler's Brain also has a reputation for being one of the worst movies in the history of film. Originally a 1963 effort titled Madmen of Mandoras, the boneheaded decision was made to take this feature and expand it by 20 minutes in order to become the They Saved Hitler's Brain TV movie in '68.

All that extra 20 minutes does is add more dullness to an already dull movie; a movie that went too far for some in how it let Adolf Hitler continue with his reign of terror.
