9 Superheroes Who Really Should Have Had A Movie By Now

9. Sentry (Marvel Comics)

The Sentry is the only entry on this list whereby the only reason he is included is by virtue of the fact that he's a great character. He is interesting, ambiguous, versatile and truly unique. When Sentry first appeared on panel in the year 2000, he was written in as if he had always existed in the Marvel universe but had used his own massive telepathic power to wipe every other character's memories of him in order to save the Earth. That would be a very unique concept for a movie. Although Sentry can be crudely described as a Superman analogue (he has a cape, can fly, is super-strong, super-fast and super-durable), there is so much more to him than that. As touched upon already, he has massive psionic mind-based powers, huge energy manipulation abilities, the ability to transmute matter (to the extent that he can defeat the enormously powerful Molecule Man at his own game) and, most interestingly, an alter-ego called the Void who is a dark entity wielding the same massive level of power as the Sentry himself. This makes him both an asset and a huge potential threat to the heroes he works alongside - and that's something that would make a movie very intriguing.
