9 Teen Horror Movies That Are Actually Quite Scary
1. Look Away
Look Away (originally titled Behind The Glass) is a 2018 psychological Canadian horror, about a bullied high school girl who swaps lives with her evil twin reflection in the mirror, leading to some dark consequences after it takes its revenge on those who have tormented her.
For a teen horror, this movie is pretty dark, including a selection of adult scenes and twisting moments however, it takes a while for the plot to take off. If you're willing to wait that long, then you'll enjoy where this film goes.
Unlike the cringey American horrors that commonly take up a large chunk of this category, Look Away has its similar moments, but is mostly saved by the darker and tenser sections of the final portion of the film.
The concept in itself is both creepy and innovative, especially when compared to other movies of this style, that take inspiration or downright steal from films in horror history before them. It's a must watch for anyone tired of the same recycled narratives brought to the big screen time and time again.
