9 Things You Didn't Know About The Wolf Of Wall Street
7. Matthew McConaughey's Chest Beating Scene Is A Real Warm Up Routine
Matthew McConaughey's part in The Wolf Of Wall Street may be an extremely small one, but that doesn't mean it's not memorable. Everyone who's seen the film will remember the scene in which McConaughey's character goes off on a tangent about how masturbation helps Wall Street employees to keep their sanity, but the main reason for its memorable nature is the actor's chest beating warm-up. As Mark Hanna, McConaughey performs a weird, wonderful and hilarious routine of thumping his chest as a means of clearing the airways and preparing himself for the stressful world of being a stockbroker. What's better though, is that the routine is one that McConaughey uses in real life when he's preparing to shoot a scene. DiCaprio obviously enjoyed watching McConaughey perform the ritual, because he insisted that the actor include it as part of his performance in the film.
