4. The Visuals And Music

As divisive as Rise of Skywalker is, one thing we can all agree on is that it looks and sounds fantastic.

J.J. Abrams once again proves his reliability as a director and the film is a visually stunning one loaded with great shots and terrific visual effects. In particular, the speeder chase sequence on Pasana and Rey and Kylo Ren's lightsaber duel on the ruins of the second Death Star are beautifully-directed set-pieces. Similarly, the sound design is great and John Williams, who never lets the side down, delivers a predictably brilliant score.

The Rise of Skywalker reportedly had an astonishingly high budget of $275 million (which makes it one of the most expensive films ever made) and thankfully, it's evident that not a dollar of that was wasted.
