9. Batman's Appearance In The Man Of Steel Sequel Was Originally Only A Cameo

The revelation at Comic-Con 2013 that Batman would pair up with Superman in Zack Snyder's sequel to Man Of Steel brought the house down - this was the news fans had been hoping for but never expected to hear. Although the film, as Snyder originally saw it, wasn't to be the apparent mano e mano the title now suggests; Affleck's Batman was at the initial planning stage only ever to make a cameo. Snyder told Forbes: "after Man Of Steel finished and we started talking about what would be in the next movie, I started subtly mentioning that it would be cool if he faced Batman... Maybe at the end of the second movie, some Kryptonite gets delivered to Bruce Wayne€™s house or something." Snyder went on to add that, "The problem is, once you say it out loud, then it€™s kind of hard to go back, right?" Obviously Snyder and Warner Bros. realised there was no greater opponent than Batman for Superman's next movie outing.
