6. Chicken Little (2005)

Chicken Little is infamous in his hometown after claiming a piece of sky fell on his head. A year later, it happens again, only this time he discovers that the piece of sky is really part of an alien UFO. Yet again, no one believes him - until the aliens invade the town. It livens it up and puts a new twist on it - but even when you think you've got the film figured out, it surprises. This movie is filled with relatable characters who are awkward or don't fit in. They're funny and vulnerable, and they perfectly exemplify the discomfort and stress that comes with growing up and learning how to deal with the judgement of our peers and our society. The relationship between Chicken Little and his father is also very emotional and touching, as it deals with the expectations that parents can have for their children and what happens when we don't fit into those expectations. Chicken Little is really a fun movie, with one-liners and subtle adult humour throughout, intermixed with great animation and plenty of action, and it deserves a lot more credit that it gets.
