After Les Miserables: 10 Musicals That Need Big Screen Treatment

Chess And here we are, the queen mother of underrated, under-seen musicals. A Cold War parable told through the most strategic game know to man, with twists, turns, betrayals, and heartache. To think that the two guys from ABBA and the guy who wrote the lyrics to The Lion King were behind it. Yes, most of you probably haven't heard of Chess, but rest assured its tale of romance and deceit between America and the Soviet Union is still as fresh today as it was during its short West End (and even shorter American) run. What's more, all you need to do is use the Concert cast from a few years back, and you're set! Unless you don't think Idina Menzel, Adam Pascal, and Josh Groban squaring off is a good idea.
