6. India
For the Daniel Craig era of 007, India seems a fantastic place for Bond 24. One of the main reasons behind this is the poverty stricken areas and the huge shanty town areas in India. As weve seen in all of Craigs Bond films, he loves a good old shoot up in a poor area where a lot of destruction can be had without a lot of money needing to be spent from a production point of view. Anyone could easily imagine this type of event happening in an Indian village, before action could move to an iconic location which theres always at least one of in every Bond film - in this case possibly being the Taj Mahal. If a Bond villain wanted to commit genocide on a massive scale, the population of India would be a realistic target for the villain, meaning the film could maintain a realistic connection the audience, and with mining being a huge segment of the Indian economy it would be a great starting point for a villains bid to take over the worlds resources. It came as quite a surprise to me when I researched where Bond has been shot that its only ever been to India once, and that was long ago in Octopussy. Considering all of the above, a return to India could be very likely.
