2. New Actors All Around, Hell Yeah!

One of the main positives about rebooting a franchise is that most, if not all of the characters have to be played by new actors. Sometimes it's a down grade (for example Liv Tyler wasn't nearly as good a Betty Ross as Jennifer Connelly but she was in the better of the two Hulk movies), sometimes it's an upgrade (Ray Stevens was a much better Punisher than Thomas Jane who got stuck in a much worse movie) but it's always fun to speculate on who will get cast as what character. When the actual names are announced, there's the excitement of seeing if they measure up to the previous actor. For example just off the top of my head, if I were asked to cast a new Alfred I'd be tempted to go with Anthony Hopkins, Mark Margolis or Clive Owen. That last choice may have some of you scratching your heads. If it does, do a google image search for "Beware the Batman" and you'll see what I mean. One of the joys of reading comics long enough, is seeing a new creative team put their mark on time honored characters. The most immediate and recognizable aspect of this joy is seeing a new artist present a unique interpretation of a character. The Silver Surfer is always gonna be the Silver Surfer, but Ron Lims visual interpretation of him is a noticeable contrast to Jack Kirby's. Speaking of creative differences in direction...
