1. It Beats Watching Diary of a Mad Black Woman
Tyler Perry gets a lot of flak from people who have never seen any of his movies. He gets flak from people who just don't get him. Hell, I've given him plenty in this piece and I've never had the courage to pop in one of his movies. But, we need merit behind what we say, no? Are we not men? I mean, I couldn't say I hated Michael Moore with any merit until I gave him a proper chance. Same with Pauly Shore. Now, I have free reign in my written word. I think Tyler Perry deserves the same respect. We all know you haven't sat through a movie like Diary either, and if you have, then I would like to apologize on behalf of humanity. Alex Cross is a harmless enough Tyler Perry movie. It might even be good. It's like watching a Tyler Perry movie without really watching one. Then all you vultures can all go back to those message boards and have some real ammo for those verbal guns, and that's exciting. Or maybe not. And, if not, that's exciting too because you have many movies about a woman named Madea to sit through.
