Alice Through The Looking Glass: 10 Reasons It's Worse Than The Original

8. Alan Rickman Is Barely In It

Much press was made of the fact that this would be the final film from Alan Rickman, who reprises his role as Absolem, the former caterpillar who of course has since turned into a butterfly.

Sadly, though, despite trailers focusing heavily on Rickman's narration, that covers almost the entirety of his dialogue in the movie: he has maybe half-a-dozen lines in the film, and his screen time totals around a minute or two.

While he's at least kept out of the film's more questionable shenanigans, it's much better to think of his recent live-action hit Eye in the Sky as his true "final movie", considering his much greater presence in that film (and the fact that it was actually good).
