All The Wrong Turn Movies Ranked Worst To Best

5. Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort

Before the franchise hit the reboot button in 2021, director Valeri Milev took his own crack at relaunching the series. 2014's Last Resort largely does away with the cannibal siblings, instead choosing to focus on... an abandoned spa in the woods? And it's here that Danny (Anthony Llott) comes to learn of his twisted heritage.

Part franchise reboot, part sequel (they may not be the focus, but the mountain men are still very much there) is a confusing, confused attempt to inject some new blood into the series. And who can blame them? After killing off most of the hillbillies in the third film and running the prequels into the ground, there's only so many wrong turns one can make, even if you do keep doing prequels.

For all the film's faults (dodgy acting, annoying characters and cheap effects), Milev delivers a genuinely original entry. It may not always pay off - and it more or less killed off the franchise from there - but it remains one of the franchise's most interesting and misunderstood sequels.
