Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy was released all the way back in 2003 and is nowadays viewed as one of the most successful cult comedies ever made. The film is packed with quotable lines that have been turned into memes and YouTube videos - people even dress up as the characters for Halloween. It isn't hyperbolic to say that the movie has entered the cultural lexicon for Generation X. So when I heard that a sequel had firstly been written and then was actually going ahead, I had mixed feelings. For one, I was excited: I love Anchorman and another movie as fun as Anchorman could never be bad thing. Despite that fact, though, I was also really nervous. Sequels are rarely as good as the originals, and recreating the madcap, unique comedy antics associated with the first movie felt like it might be impossible to achieve all over again.
