McAvoy will play a young man who discovers his father is an assassin, only to learn shortly thereafter that his dad has been murdered. The youth is drafted to follow in his father's footsteps. Jolie will play an assassin who teaches the ropes to the wannabe killer. So it's the second time in only a couple of years that Jolie will play an assassin, albeit this time in a far more serious film than
Mr. and Mrs. Smith. It was only last month that the creator of the graphic novel Mark Millar
told us that they had a big star already cast and that they were going to annouce him/her a little later on. If Jolie is the star they are talking about, then he certainly wasn't kidding, she's just about as high profile female actress as they could have chosen. Shooting begins in May, so it will indeed be Jolie's next film. source -
