Ant-Man 3: 10 Things You Need To Know About Kang The Conqueror

3. He Has A Connection With The Fantastic Four

Nathaniel Richards debuted as Kang the Conqueror in Avengers #8 but this wasn't his first appearance. He debuted as Rama-Tut the previous year in Fantastic Four #19. (Weirdly, the writers never intended for the two characters to be the same person.)

But this isn't the only connection Kang has with Marvel's First Family. It has been theorised that the Fantastic Four's leader, Reed Richards, is an ancestor of Kang. Reed's father, Nathaniel Richards, has the same name as Kang and the two characters look very similar. Also, they both have an acumen for the most advanced scientific fields and are known for their brashness and arrogance.

Not only that, the time machine that Kang originally used to become a supervillain was built by none other than the FF's arch-nemesis, Doctor Doom.

Although there's no conclusive proof Kang is related to Reed Richards, the connections keep coming. In the Ultimate Universe, Reed realised his dimension was collapsing into itself and so, fitted Sue Storm with a time-travel suit and sent her back one week in the past to prevent the calamity. In this incarnation, Sue goes by the name, Kang the Conqueror.
