You can certainly argue that Scott Lang gets a little too attached to his pint-sized ant friends, especially considering how often they tend to die on him.

However, that didn't stop him giving several of the insects names inspired by both pop-culture and the world around us. The ant he rides into Cassie's school, for instance, is named Ulysses S. Gr-ant, after the 18th President of the United States himself.

If only Grant were able to see how his name is being used nowadays. On the other hand, the namedrop might've at least prompted a few kids to Google Grant and learn a little more about American history, so that's a good thing.
