If you're itching to know what Ant-Man's like, well, apparently the new Japanese trailer gives away most of the movie. Another good gauge of quality for the new Marvel movie is to check out the early reactions to it, with Marvel holding a press screening on Thursday and anxious to get some good buzz going eschewed the usual review embargoes. The critics who were present for Ant-Man's inauspicious première were free to tweet about their initial reactions, and they sure tweeted. The screening was followed by a flurry of 140-character reviews of the film, which has had a dark cloud cast over it thanks to Edgar Wright's ousting as director and a general scepticism about the hero's title and powers. Which has done wonders for Ant-Man's reputation, because (besides a couple of dissenting voices in the minority) the reaction seems to be rather positive. The last of Marvel's Phase Two films may seem a little small compared to the behemoth Avengers: Age Of Ultron, but early chatter suggests it may be a better film. Despite some rocky production issues, rumours of script rewrites and the introduction of a bucketload of new characters including a guy whose powers are shrinking and talking to insects these reviews are mighty reassuring.
