Ant-Man & The Wasp: 7 Things We Want To See In Marvel’s Insect-Themed Sequel

3. More Of Those Flashback Sequences

Flashback sequences featuring a young Pym during his days as the original Ant-Man were used for scene-setting purposes in the first film, and there€™s scope to expand on this in the follow-up. For instance, Rudd and Lilly€™s characters weren€™t the first duo in the Marvel universe to go by the names of Ant-Man and Wasp, so wouldn't it be great to see more footage of the original pair in action in they heyday? Marvel has five-and-a-half decades' worth of comic book source material for Reed to use as the basis for a vintage Ant-Man and Wasp mission - let's just hope he steers clear of those awkward spousal abuse plotlines. Perhaps the main storyline could run parallel to a Cold War-era tale of pint-sized espionage starring a young Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne. Reed has already confirmed that Douglas€™s character will play a significant part in the sequel, but whether that role will include millions of dollars€™ worth of age-reversing CGI remains to be seen.
