Ant-Man & The Wasp Logo Revealed At CinemaCon, Hawkeye Rumoured To Appear
All aboard the hype train for Marvel's big little sequel.
With Marvel concentrating firmly on their immediate upcoming slate of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 and Thor: Ragnarok, it's inevitable that the projects after that are being given a little less attention in publicity terms. But their time will come.
While the promo train for Ant-Man & The Wasp has arguably been even less notable than the one for Captain Marvel, we now at least have a brand new official logo for the film, courtesy of CinemaCon.
During Disney's presentation, they showed off the updated version of their slate wall, highlighting their releases right up through 2019, and in there was the new logo, looking a lot like the comic book version.
That's about all we know of the sequel so far, other than the returns of Peyton Reed, Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas and Michael Peña and the release date of July 6, 2018, but a new rumour suggests another Avenger might be appearing.
Thanks to Paramount's CinemaCon panel not announcing that Jeremy Renner is returning for Mission Impossible 6, an earlier rumour from Showbiz 411 that Renner's absence is not only down to his year-long commitment to Infinity War, but also to Peyton Reed's Ant-Man sequel.
That report suggested Renner would film the projects back-to-back, making any possible role on Mission Impossible 6 logistically very difficult. But then he did film Rogue Nation and Age Of Ultron around the same time, so maybe there's hope yet?
The actor also confirmed that he's finally flying out to start filming on Infinity War too...
