It is a time-honoured tradition that big bad villains will operate out of some kind of lair. Thanos had his Sanctuary, and subsequently the Sanctuary II, He Who Remains had the Citadel at the End of Time, and in the comics at least, Kang the Conqueror had Chronopolis.

This was his abode at the very edge of time, balanced somewhere between Limbo and reality. One creative change that appears to be happening with the MCU’s version of Kang is that he may not be a time-traveller, but rather a multiverse-traveller, and bringing Chronopolis into the Quantum Realm would fit in better with that change.

There are several scenes that would appear to depict Kang’s lair within the Quantum Realm, some shots from within, and some from the outside. It is hard to believe that this is anything other than Chronopolis, but of course, fans have been burned before.

No matter what the place is, Kang appears to have a ridiculous army under his command already, and when the time comes for him to face the Avengers, well let’s just say that Earth’s Mightiest Heroes just might not be mighty enough.
