And finally, all things considered, it looks like Ant-Man and the Wasp is set to be a rock solid improvement over its predecessor. With the introduction of both the Wasp and a seemingly more compelling antagonist, not to mention some more enticing and creative action, this looks like a quintessential MCU sequel that confidently builds on what came before.

Sure, the bar may be a fairly low one to clear, as even big fans of the original movie will surely admit it's on the lower-middle end of the MCU's output to date. Even so, the decidedly greater potential here speaks loudly for itself.
