Anthony Hopkins: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked

5 That Sucked...

5. Denning - Misconduct (2016)

Misconduct Pacino Hopkins Duhamel
Lionsgate

In the past, the idea of having both Anthony Hopkins and Al Pacino on the same bill would have been cause for lots of excitement. Sadly, that was a long time ago, and Misconduct would never have been exciting no matter when it came out.

Impressively - and perversely - it's Josh Duhamel who is asked to do the lion's share of acting, because his loftier co-stars are there solely for the paycheck. And sadly, he's also no good, and fails spectacularly to do anything to elevate the terrible material.

The film has an agenda for style, but it's wasted as the lead actors - particularly the two who should know a lot better - basically just sleepwalk through it, looking mostly disinterested. As they rightly should.
