For anybody who loved watching Paul Rudd kicking ass on a molecular level, Ant Man director Peyton Reed just announced that the follow-up flick is going to do a whole bunch of things to blow our collective minds.

Speaking at the Captain America: Civil War premiere, he recently had this to say when probed on all things Ant-Man and the Wasp:

€œWe€™re hard at work writing the movie right now. So we€™ve been holed up in a room, Paul Rudd, myself, Adam McKay, Gabriel Ferrari, and Andrew Barrer, who are our writers. So we€™re all brainstorming the story. I think the only thing I can tell you with certainty at this point, because we€™re still about two years away from the movie coming out, is that it€™s going to have stuff in it that you€™ve never ever seen in a movie before."

Telling Marvel fans that the film is going to feature stuff that we've never seen in a movie before is one hell of a tease, but I'd imagine that he's referring to some of the film's inevitable shrink-based sequences. Or maybe it's nothing to do with the shrinking side of things at all: maybe Paul Rudd will do a backflip whilst holding, like, a cake. That's never been in a movie before. Wait - is that it?

Ant-Man and the Wasp will hit theatres on July 6, 2018
