The first images of Amber Heard as Mera in Aquaman have surfaced, and you might want to pop on your sunglasses before checking them out.
Revealed by the film's director James Wan on Twitter, the first picture shows the ocean queen in a blindingly colourful outfit, complete with green scales and the Aquaman logo on the midriff.
Heard herself later uploaded another image from the first day of shooting, in which she's garbed in the same outfit under different lighting, with what appears to be docks in the background.
Aquaman is in the works for a 2018 release and has Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa in the lead role, and Nicole Kidman, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren and Willem Dafoe among its supporting cast.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II has been cast as the movie's antagonist, Black Manta, marking the popular comic book villain's big screen debut.
Momoa made a brief cameo as the Atlantean in last year's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and is due to feature heavily in the upcoming Zack Snyder's upcoming Justice League film, in which Heard's Mera will be introduced.
Aquaman will splash down in cinemas on 21 December next year.
