Aquaman & The Lost Kingdom Review: 3 Ups & 7 Downs

1. The Mercifully Fast Pacing

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
Warner Bros.

It's never exactly the best sign when some of your scattered praise for a movie is "well, it moved fast," but truly, it's a tender mercy that Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom clocks in at just 124 minutes - almost a whole 20 minutes shorter than the first!

While on one hand this was clearly chopped down to its shortest possible runtime during post-production, often resulting in a frantic, chaotic mess, it's a better outcome than the movie being a leaden slog from start to finish.

In the very least, it darts from one scene to the next fast enough that it's tough to get too bored, and by the time the end credits roll, you might even be surprised that it's actually over already.
