Are You Ready For An R Rated Version Of Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice?

Yeah, you're gonna want to get this one on Blu-Ray.

Now, before you get too excited, this isn't some knee jerk reaction to Deadpool's newfound R-rated success over at Fox. Rather, news has come from the extremely trustworthy Stitch Kingdom that the home release of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will be R rated. What does this mean for fans? Well, all that bone-crunchingly awesome Batman-led combat from the last trailer will probably be turned way up to 11. Which is only a good thing, as fans have been clamouring for some R-rated Bat-action for years - if not decades. The R-rated version will be found on the 'Ultimate Edition' Blu-ray, which may have a release date of September 30th, if I'm reading the below Tweet correctly. https://twitter.com/stitchkingdom/status/702296577638006785 https://twitter.com/stitchkingdom/status/702292149610663937?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw It's important to note that other movies like The Hobbit also received home entertainment releases that were rated R, so make of that what you will. What is clear is that there will be extra scenes of violence (our favourite kind), and they will be more brutal to watch. Who knows, maybe we'll even get a shot of Batman kicking Superman in the d*ck. You can only hope.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is released on 25th March.
