9. Elijah Wood
I have a feeling I just lost half the people reading the list, but hear me out. Elijah Wood isnt the little kid trying to figure out how to turn on Wild Gunman, at the Cafe 80s in Back to the Future Part II, anymore. (Stretched reference?) Hes come into his own as a man, and as an actor. Hes proven himself in the fantasy-action arena, and even where he has faults in that area, its not like Desmond actually does a lot of anything, much less intense fighting. I personally started to see Wood in a new light after his small part in Sin City, and he doesnt seem like a huge douche to me. Theres also the fact that, as Desmond, he wouldnt need to do any accent, which is what most people jump on when criticizing his performance as Frodo in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
