Avatar: The Way Of Water - 22 WTF Moments

Much of the movie's first half sees Quaritch effectively going through all the Na'vi rituals that Jake did in the first film, namely acclimating to his body and taming the Na'vi flora and fauna.

The most prominent echo of the original movie sees Quaritch clumsily attempting to tame a Banshee.

He initially tries to subdue it with a tranquiliser gun, but after Spider mockingly tells him that he's seen Na'vi children do it with their bare hands, and that Jake also did it "the hard way," Quaritch drops the gun.

And though at first it appears that Quaritch's attempt to manhandle the creature is a spectacular failure, just as the RDA goons prepare to leave the area he re-emerges having successfully tamed it.
