After over a decade of storytelling, Infinity War and Endgame brought Marvel's Infinity Saga to a conclusion, and they were everything we could have wished for. Thanos solidified himself as the Darth Vader of this generation, the endless character list was balanced perfectly, and almost every one was given a strong, satisfying end to their own, individual arcs.
Now, with enough time passed since the movies' respective releases, and after a couple of online watch parties with the Russos and writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFreely, we have been given some insight into what could have been for the two mega blockbusters.
After learning some of the ideas that never made the final cut, some of which barely got off the ground, and some that got so far as post production, maybe the movies weren't everything we could have wished for, we just didn't know it at the time.
Avengers Infinity War and Endgame are still among the greatest movies the MCU, and the entire comic book movie franchise has to offer, boasting some of the most epic, emotional, and memorable moments in the entire franchise, but that's not to say that all of these moments made it into the cinemas. Some that didn't quite make it still deserve recognition all the same.
