Avengers 3: 10 Rumours That Are Already Surfacing

4. Sony Might Allow Spider-Man To Take Part

Spider-Man has been a Sony property, as far as films are concerned, since the days of Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man - which goes back to 2002 when the first movie starring the actor was released. He's currently still tied to Sony, with Andrew Garfield now starring as the Webbed Wonder in the Amazing Spider-Man franchise. However, after the Amazing Spider-Man 2 failed to impress at the box office, Sony are considering giving the rights back to Marvel Studios - for a fee, no doubt - while the character is still popular. Whether or not the same actor would play him, or if it would consider the events of the Amazing Spider-Man movies to have happened within the Marvel Cinematic Universe is open to debate, but having Marvel's most popular character joining the most popular superhero team in the movies is an exciting prospect to say the least - and the discussions to potentially make it happen have apparently already started.
